Why Maths and English?

Widely recognised as the two most important academic subjects, they are the qualifications most employers require as standard and the subjects we use most in our everyday lives.

Can my child complete the practice exercises and exam at their own pace?

The students are not given a time limit to complete the self assessment exam. One of our core beliefs is that children should be allowed to learn at their own speed, away from the pressures of their peers.

Can I access the program away from home?

You can access our online learning program anywhere that has a broadband internet connection.

How do I contact a Maths or English tutor?

Parents and students can fill in a Tutor Request form on the ‘Support’ section of this page or telephone 029 20431482 for assistance and we will respond within 24 hours. At this stage we do not have direct tutor support but we this is something we are looking to provide in the future.

Is Skills4Kids suitable for adult students?

We have a number of adult students who use Skills4Kids to keep up to date with current curriculum and develop their own academic skills. For personal satisfaction or as preparation for further study, Skills4Kids gives you the flexibility to study in privacy when and where it suits you.

What school years does the tuition cover?

Our Maths and English Grammar programmes cover topics from primary school right through to GCSE.

Can I access Skills4Kids from any computer?

No. You can only access our online learning programs with the provided laptop.

Why doesn't your grammar program cover the relevant texts
and literature for Years 12 and 13?

Our program provides comprehensive lessons in English grammar only. We cover spelling, using a dictionary, figurative language and some general essay writing techniques, but we do not cover any specific texts.
The diverse range of prose, poetry and drama texts senior students are required to study, makes it impossible to cover.
